Side Bar
The Side bar is located at the left of the RhinoLands window and displays the most frequently used commands for editing and transforming objects, including points, curves, surfaces, and solids.
Sidebar commands:
Combination and Partition
- Join: Connect curves, surface edges, or surfaces to form a single object.
- Explode: Break objects down into components.
- Trim: Cut and delete selected portions of an object at the intersection with another object.
- Split: Divide objects using other objects as cutters.
Group and ungroup objects
Display control points
- EditPtOn: Displays edit points on curves.
- PointsOff: Turn off control, edit, and solidpoints display.
- PointsOn: Display curve and surface control points.
- PointsOff: Turn off control, edit, and solidpoints display.
Transform objects
- Move: Move objects from one location to another.
- Copy: Duplicate objects.
- Rotate: Rotate objects around an axis perpendicular to the construction plane.
- Scale: Change the size of objects uniformly in the x, y, and z directions.
- Scale2D: Change the size of objects uniformly in two directions.
- Scale1D: Change the size of objects uniformly in one direction.
- Mirror: Create a mirror-image copy of objects.
- Stretch: Scale areas of an object in one direction.
- Array: Copy and space objects in columns, rows, and levels.
- Polar array: Copy objects around a central location.
- Array along curve: Copy objects spaced along a curve.
- Align: Line up the bounding boxes of objects, or object grips (control points, edit points, vertices...).
Organize tools
- Block: Define a block object.
- BlockEdit: Allow selecting a block instance to change the block geometry and update the block definition.
- Insert: Insert block objects stored in the file or import a file as a block definition.
- BlockManager: Opens the Block Definitions panel for managing the block definitions in the model.
- ReplaceBlock: Replace block instances with a different block definition.
- MatchProperties: Change the object properties of selected objects to duplicate those of another object.
